Introducing WE. And NextBigWhat V2.0

Community, Community And Community

4 months back, we moved to a pure community model..

We called it YOU edition. Because YOU stood for the founder, the ProductGeek, the audience which needed a platform to connect and engage with each other. No media shit – just conversation.

Our basic hypothesis that there is a huge space to grow the community worked out VERY well. In 4 months, we had more than 3500 posts – 80% of which came from the community!

Community : The Road Ahead

In the last 3 weeks, we spoke to a lot of members and one feedback that we consistently received was of having a separate location for the discussion platform. Anything except the homepage, as many of us weren’t comfortable posting “might-look-stupid” questions / thoughts on NextBigWhat homepage.

Infact, I myself had similar feelings when I wanted to share something extremely weird (aka stupid for others) with the audience but shied away as I didn’t want the homepage to be so random (sometimes, it sets a wrong example).

Plus, there were a lot of requests to merge news coverage and the community play – and importantly, go the full circle when it comes to community : Events/Jobs everything.

Today , we we are setting the foundation of version 2.0 of community platform.

The version 2.0 which is launching on Wednesday (Oct 19th) is everything that the startup and tech community wants : Events / Jobs / Interest based groups etc etc.

What about the super awesome discussion platform ? We have moved it to WE, i.e.we.nextbigwhat.com for us to have a free flowing conversation and not worry about being right or wrong!

These are exciting times in Indian startup ecosystem – lack of funds, end of media hype is forcing founders to collaborate and engage deeper, importantly, think deeper and we will be “THE” platform to enable this.

We look forward to serving you and be of max use to help you grow your business / product.

For any feedback / suggestions, please email me : ashish@nextbigwhat.com

Note that SSO is being implemented between the main site and the discussion platform
