After the Dadri lynching case which created communal terror across the state, Uttar Pradesh government has directed the social networking websites to remove objectionable posts and pictures from social networking sites, related to the brutal killing of Mohammad Akhlaq.

Apparently, UP Police, on the directions of the Samajwadi Party government, had written a letter to Twitter Inc asking them to remove some photographs and text uploaded on the social networking platform related to the incident (source).

Mohammad Ikhlaq was brutally killed by a mob on September 28th after rumours spread that he and his family consumed beef. His 21 year old son was also beaten up and is now injured critically.
