Uber launches uberAUTO service in Delhi

Uber has launched uberAUTO service in the National Capital. Delhi is the only city now where Uber will accept cash payments; the customers can pay regular fare in cash without additional commissions (finally, Uber gives in to India’s cash dynamics).

Uber’s competitor, Ola charges a fixed commission on auto-rickshaw booking.  The customers can also rate the auto drivers on the Uber mobile app, like the same how they do for taxis.

“We’re taking an existing product used by the masses but making it better by adding Uber quality checks on top of it,” Bhatia,”says Gagan Bhatia, General Manager, Uber, Delhi.
