Travelkhana which runs an online “food on travel” market place for Indian railway commuters has introduced its service for bus travelers who book their tickets on Makemytrip.
The pre-packaged meal in leak-proof containers, along with spoons and paper-napkins will be hand delivered to the passenger at the boarding point. The service is currently available for journeys originating from Delhi and NCR and will be launched across India, the company said.
Travelkhana, which was founded in 2012, currently operates in 160 cities and is expanding across the railway network. In October last year, the company raised funding from Palaash Ventures and group of investors including Axind Software CEO Matteo Chiampo.
