Diabeto is a device that wirelessly transmits blood glucose readings from a glucometer to a smartphone, where it can be logged and analysed via an app.
The version one of Diabeto was made from hacked pcb and was more of a square box with a hanging cable than what we see today. But it worked and validated their belief that the idea was executable, whereupon they now worked upon testing the compatibility of the product with various glucometers.
