PressPlay raises $2.2M in Seed Funding from Sequoia and Angel Investors

PressPlayThe entertainment and travel startup, PressPlay has raised $2.2 Million in seed funding from Sequoia Capital and angel investors including Jason Hirschhorn, Jarett Posner, and Amit Bhatiani.

PressPlay, an entertainment and travel startup that started off with renting-out tablets with preloaded content for Rs 100 to passengers in public transports. Later, the company launched Wi-Fi services across volvo buses in India where the users can enjoy the music, videos, movies, games on their own Wi-Fi connected devices.

“Users just need to connect to our wifi inside the bus and can enjoy all the entertainment on their smart device. This was launched just 10 days back and we are already at a run rate of 50,000 users per month with more than 40,000 minutes of content being consumed daily”, says Anand Sinha, Co-Founder & CEO, PressPlay.
