Of the 2,000+ startups launched in last 2 years in India, 1,000 died

The startling statistics was revealed by the Delhi-based research firm Xeler8, which said that over 40% of startups launched since June 2014 have closed shops, mainly in sectors such as logistics, e-commerce, and food technology. The reason cited is the lack of funding, with many companies shutting down within the first 12 months of launching.
