Logistics Startup, ‘The Porter’ Raises INR 3 Crore From Kae Capital

The PorterThe Mumbai based online trucks and tempos startup, The Porter, has raised INR 3 Crores from Kae Capital.

The funds will be used for expanding its fleet in Mumbai, expanding its services to Delhi and Bengaluru in the next 2-3 months and for talent hiring.

The one-year-old The Porter’s mobile app allows users to hire vehicles for relocation or to move perishables, e-commerce deliveries and even construction supplies.

“Like Uber and Ola have organised the taxi industry, we are doing the same thing for intracity goods movement with mainly LCVs (light commercial vehicles) and omni vans,” said Pranav Goel, Co-Founder, The Porter. He also added that the firm expects to raise series-A funding of Rs 30-40 crores in the next six months.
