Google Duplex, the voice assistant making its way into call centers?

Just a few days back the world was going gaga and panicky, in equal measures, at the feats of Duplex demonstrated at a Google I/O.

And today, we are already talking about Duplex handling simple and repetitive customer calls until the situation needs a human to take over for things more complicated. Google, meanwhile, dismisses testing Duplex with any enterprise clients and wants to get the experience right with a slow and measured approach based on feedback and learnings. But speculations are rife about call-centres finding ready room for something as smart and human-like as a Duplex.
