Gaming company Games2win India Private Limited has raised an additional round of $2 mn from US based Clearstone Venture Partners.
This is Games2win’s third financing round in addition to a secondary sale of its shares to new investors last year, the company said
The company raised $6 million from Clearstone Venture Partners and Silicon Valley Bank Financial Group in 2007.It then raised $6 million from existing investors in a follow on round in March 2011. A year later, Nexus India Private Limited, a few senior employees and ICICI Ventures sold 10 % of their stake in the company to Nirvana Venture Advisors.
Games2Win has crossed 30 million game downloads on iTunes and Android in a years time and has over 20 mn monthly consumers across its mobile and web games. The company will use the newly raised funds to acquire games and build its international team.
The homegrown gaming company crossed 25 million downloads for its mobile apps about three months ago with 17.3 million downloads on iTunes and 7.99 million downloads on Google’s play store. Parking Frenzy and Super Mom are two of its hit games.
The Mumbai headquartered company founded in 2005 by Alok Kejriwal and Mahesh Khambadkone has over 100 people now.
