Automation Threatens 69% Jobs in India, 77% Jobs in China: World Bank

A recent report based on World Bank data has predicted that the proportion of jobs threatened by automation in India is 69%, 77% in China and as high as 85% in Ethiopia. Commenting that technology is fundamentally reshaping the world, World Bank president Jim Kim advised world leaders and changemakers to increase focus on investing in people, at the scale that “we think is necessary to build a workforce that can be competitive in the economy of the future.”
