Sweet: This Bulgarian Man is Fixing Broken Things with Googly Eyes(And they’re Pretty)!

We often come across many broken things around us, don’t we? Whether it’s a public dustbin, tap, a street sign, a part of a monument or a heart (Ahem!), most of us just ignore these things and go our ways as always. But someone, somewhere in this strange yet beautiful world thinks differently, interestingly and of course, cleverly. He has discovered a new way of making such things interesting and guess what, it’s better than fixing them.
Last month, we saw a similar practice where people would ‘eyebomb’ different things by putting and drawing different types of eyes on things in order to make people smile.

Well, the trend has now reached to the elegant South-Eastern European country of Bulgaria, all thanks to a street artist called Vanyu Krastev who puts two googly eyes and a little bit of imagination to simple things which he sees broken or clunky. From trees and lamp posts to trash cans and sidewalk stains, he puts these eyes with different emotions on things accordingly.

He certainly has an  eye to see beauty in things that nobody even notices. And by doing that, he makes them perfect eye-bombs. The world may be too big and complex to think about and fix each and every thing, but it’s too magnificent to ignore it.

The Failed Dude Called Elon Musk.

Have you ever failed? Of course you have! We all have. But, how many of us keep failing and not stop? How many of us don’t give up when failing becomes an ordeal? Well, not too many, I’m sure. But, there are inspirations all around us, who do things the other way around!

Meet Elon Musk, a South African-born Canadian-American business tycoon, investor, engineer and inventor. He is also known as the real life ‘Iron Man’. But, life hadn’t been as easy for him as it was for Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) from the Marvel Comics. This real life superhero failed terribly numerous times, got his life on stake, lost his jobs, crashed his car and many more. But, in spite of all this, he had been one success ahead of his failures.

Here’s one thing that he says: “If something is important enough, you should do it, even if the probable outcome is failure!

The list of his failures is long, but not at all something to skip. So, let’s take a look at his journey of ‘successful failures’:

1. Elon Musk was rejected for a job at Netscape. He submitted his resume, but no one ever responded.

2. Elon Musk went ahead and started Zip2, a web software company, which he sold to Compaq for $307 million. But later, he was demoted from the position of CEO to a CTO by the board because they thought he was not competent enough to be CEO.

3. Elon then met Greg Kouri, who became the co-founder of PayPal with him. Paypal was termed as one of the 10 worst business ideas in 1999.

4. Elon was fired from Paypal because he preferred Microsoft to Unix. He was flying to Australia when he was fired.

5. The last vacation Elon Musk took, he contracted a lethal form of cerebral Malaria.

6. He lost his first son to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) in 2002.

7. He envisioned a colony on Mars way back in 2001. But Russians refused to sell their rockets to him. So he decided to make his own.

8. Elon Musk, by his own admittance, terms 2008 as the worst year of his life. Tesla and SpaceX were both going to go bankrupt, with him.

(Facts Source: Wikipedia)

But things got better from there. The next launches from Tesla did go well and orders started coming in for the company. Soon, Tesla diversified into Musk’s definitive goal – affordable clean means of transportation. His latest models can be bought by the middle class and is just as efficient as the luxury model.

His other company, SpaceX started launching cargoes to the International Space Station successfully and making reusable rockets a real thing.

Life is hard, it is even harder for the ones trying to do something big and ambitious. The ones who will always be remembered are those who aren’t afraid of failing again and again until they succeed, eventually!

Dare to Climb the Everest Without Oxygen? Indian Soldiers Did It

It’s quite tough to breathe at an high altitude, isn’t it? So, what if we tell you that you have to go up to 5000 or 6000 meters above the sea level?; I’m sure many of us would count ourselves out. But, there are exceptions, wonders and then, SUPER HUMANS!

Such super heroic abilities have been shown by a team of four Indian army personnel – Kunchok Tenda, Kelshang Dorjee Bhutia, Kalden Panjur and Sonam Phuntsok who are the first team ever to climb the world’s highest peak, the Mount Everest without using supplementary oxygen.

”We had formed a team of ten people with the aim to scale the Everest without using oxygen cylinders, and succeeded in sending four members to the top of the world without oxygen. Our aim is to climb the Everest without carrying oxygen cylinder and create history.”, said Colonel Vishal Dubey, Leader, Snow Lion Everest Expedition 2017, told PTI.

More than 4,000 people have climbed the Everest, which stands at a height of 8,848 meter. But among these people, only 187 people have climbed the peak without using individual oxygen cylinders.

Six Sherpa guides also climbed the Mount Everest with this team, but they used oxygen cylinders for their safety. This team scaled the peak on May 21 and returned to Kathmandu on May 26.

All this shows the extreme limit that the human body can go up to. Who knows, climbing the Everest could be even easier in the coming years.

The machine has gained much popularity all over the world, and it has countless fans now. It is not only in demand in Haryana, UP, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan and Karnataka but has also gained popularity in Nepal.

The Man Behind This Machine

Not an IITian, but tenth-pass brick kiln owner from Sonepat, Haryana has revolutionised the brick-making process in India. By inventing a machine that is as productive as 120 labourers, Satish hailing from Ladrawan village has made a huge contribution to the construction industry.

This 42-year-old who made this wonder has got the machine patented now.

Satish thought of making this machine in the year 2007 when he was sick of his labourers’ unexplained absenteeism at his brick kiln. “They did not show up for work despite taking salary. BMM, the machine can make 150 bricks in a minute and around 40,000 bricks in one day,” he shares. While another model BMM-300 can manufacture 300 bricks in just 60 seconds and 85,000 bricks in a day. “With the help of this machine, we have been able to overcome the problem of shortage of manpower in the area,” he added.

The parts of machine are imported from Germany and Italy. So far, Satish has got 25 such machines manufactured. Pravesh, an engineer who helped Satish in manufacturing the machine says, “Satish had invested all his savings and ancestral assets in manufacturing the machine. And in 2013, he was finally able to manufacture three machines. People even started calling us mad as we were so involved in manufacturing the machine. But after seeing the result, the same people have started appreciating our work.”

After discovering this through sources, the CM of Haryana has also come forward to his help by offering him financial aid to expand his venture.

All this shows how much talent and brilliance we have here in India and how can we revolutionize, not only a particular industry in our own nation, but the whole world.
