In an email to senior staff members this week, Amazon India head Amit Agarwal has asked employees to not take calls / answer emails after working hours.
“No business decision should be made between 6 pm and 8 am.”
He has told employees to stop taking calls and emails after hours.
Is this feasible given that most senior team members will anyways be in calls with US teams and will be otherwise difficult to collaborate? Unless the decision comes from the HQ, we would like to see how this decision has been implemented in India office.
Globally, Amazon is known to have extremely tough working culture.
