57% of ‘allopathic doctors’ in India do not have medical qualifications: WHO

A recent report by WHO has revealed an alarming statistic that nearly 31% of allopathic doctors in India in 2001 were educated only up to the secondary school level and 57% did not have any medical qualification. Based on the 2001 census data, the study has brought the quality of India’s healthcare sector into question.
