What’s cooking at JustDial? More products and services in the pipeline ahead of the IPO

QuickQuotes is not the only thing Justdial has launched recently. The company which filed for an initial public offering to raise funds has also launched Justdial events without much brouhaha around it.


Users can now search for upcoming events in various categories such as arts and crafts, community, dance, food et al. The service is available for events in eight major Indian cities including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi/NCR Region, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.

For consumer focused events, this could become a great marketing channel owing to consumer data Justdial has collected over the last few years.

Looks like the company has a few more aces up the sleeve ahead of its initial public offering. Some of the products and services that the company has launched this year or has plans to roll out this year are

Targeted marketing campaigns: The company has plans to provide marketing data concerning the preferences and demands of consumer groups, which is otherwise difficult to figure out.

Buy Data: In February 2012, the company started selling structured data to business through their buy data business. Customers can download bulk business data for specific categories from the JustDial database of about 7.7 mn listings.

Mobile apps: The company has developed an Android app. It is developing apps for iPhone and Windows Phone 7.
