Videocon Telecom has mounted the government’s much hyped Digital India bandwagon and has announced that it is offering all its subscribers free access to government web portals.
Customers will now have access to government services for free through the india.gov.in and india.gov.in/hi web portals. Apart from this, Videocon has also rolled out a slew of offers on data.

The company has also announced 100MB of free data per month for 10 months for women who subscribe to its service as it claims the percentage of women data users on its network is slightly less than males.
Through the initiative, Videocon Telecom hopes to onboard more female customers and will provide a dedicated help-line for first-time data users to help them with issues of accessing the internet.
Videocon Telecom had also announced 750MB of free data to all non-data customers earlier this month in order to get them to use its services.
