Bangalore-based Tachyon Technologies which already has a number of products for Indic input, has unveiled Quillpad Roaming. Quillpad Roaming is a service that enables Internet users to type in Indian languages anywhere across the web.
Since the service can be used across the web, users can easily communicate with family, friends and co-workers via email, chat, social networking sites and can also be used on blogs, search engines or on any pretty much website.
Quillpad’s predictive input technology automatically converts local language words written in English into native script. Users can start typing in their language immediately without having to type on any other website, like Google Translate, and then copy and paste it on the required site. This is the unique feature of Quillpad Roaming, compared to other Internet services.
Using QuillPad Roaming
At present QuillPad Roaming only supports Chrome. To use Quillpad Roaming, one needs to visit roaming.quillpad.in and after entering the desired site’s address, click go.
When using it for the first time one will be prompted to create an ID or you can log in using your Google or Facebook ID. A chrome extension will then be downloaded. Now you can begin typing in any language you want just by right clicking in an input field and choosing Quillpad.
QuillPad Roaming currently has support for 9 Indian languages – Hindi, Bengali, Guajarati , Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Telugu and Punjabi.
Other Indic keyboards

Its a simple download which can be used to input in any of the supported languages from your desktop.
