TableGrabber helps you with real time restaurant booking, gets into Microsoft Accelerator [Updated]
The last time when we profiled Delhi based TableGrabber, we were still called Pluggd.in. The year was 2012 and things were just starting to look up in the Delhi food scene. TableGrabber dabbled in the real time reservation system designed for high end eating joints targeting both users (the foodies ) and the restaurant owners.
The company, which demoed at the sixth edition of UnPluggd, has made it to the Microsoft Accelerator’s second batch along with other notables like 360 Living, Adepto, DeckApp, Frintit, Harness, I7 Networks, Label Guild, Profoundis, Qubole, SupportBee, Tuebora and Visarity.
TableGrabber has now expanded to Mumbai which has vibrant and unique food scene. They are now actively exploring the possibility of expanding to other metropolitan cities of the country. The website interface has gotten a facelift since the last time. On logging into the website the user is greeted with restaurant search functionality along with a date/time/number of people choice to confirm the booking. Thus ensuring the focus is first and fore most on the bookings.
The TableGrabber product can be split between its B2B and B2C users. The B2B users typically include the high end restaurant owners and the hoteliers. TableGrabber’s tools allow these organizations to allow real time restaurant reservation. Apart from keeping track of online reservations, the package allows them to update the system for walk-ins and providing valuable metrics and consumer insights.
Actively partnering up with key holders in the foodie community, TableGrabber has partnered up with “Taste of Mumbai”, which is one of the world’s leading food and drinks festival coming to India for the first time, thus helping TableGrabber to actively connect with their actual users in real world.
Users can soon expect to see native mobile apps for iPhone and Android mobiles having all the core functionality of the website like real time reservation or the restaurant lookup. We will update this post when the apps launch and do share your feedback with us.http://www.nextbigwhat.com/tablegrabber-real-time-restaurant-booking-297/Indian StartupsIndianStartups
