Ecommerce service, Saholic.com has launched ‘On Time Guarantee’ ensuring that the products ordered online will be delivered on time, failing which the customer will be compensated for every day of delay.
The compensation however will not be done via cash (Domino’s anyone?), but Saholic commits to compensate for the delay in the form of Gift Vouchers at the rate of Rs. 50 per business day upto maximum of Rs 500 or upto 10% of the product value whichever is lower. Gift Voucher can be availed for any product or Mobile/DTH recharge on Saholic without limitation.
This is an interesting development, as ecommerce companies ever since they have moved to marketplace model are losing out over control on delivery logistics and end up blaming it on their partners.
Earlier, Saholic launched ‘Buy Online, Pickup Offline model‘ as their logistics is integrated with 850 Spice Hotspot retail outlets and important to note that the ‘On Time Guarantee’ doesn’t cover orders below Rs. 2000/ and orders with CoD as payment mechanism.
