Sequoia Capital Invests INR 60 crores in Quick Heal

Quick heal is one of the rarest homegrown products from India that has managed to grow exponentially in the last few years.Founded in 1993, Quick Heal owns close to 30-35% market share in anti-virus products and has managed to grow at a CAGR of 100% over the last three years, especially among the SMB crowd.

Sequoia Capital has announced an investment of INR 60 crores in Quick Heal, that competes with MNCs like McAfee, Symantec etc.   Pune based, Quick Heal registered revenues of more than Rs 100 crore in FY 09-10 and the company will use this fund to grow its product portfolio and strengthen its distribution.

    How come they were not heard loud in the market before even within India?
    They should release free version to get the name registered.
