Outsource your chores on Timesaverz, the marketplace to find help

It helps customers save time by helping them find people willing to do jobs like grocery shopping, plumbing, maintaining the computer, paying utility bills, filling up forms and delivering stuff from one place to another.

Mumbai based Right Angle Web has taken up a task no less daunting than saving your time in the Maximum city. But how? The company has launched Timesaverz.com,  a marketplace for people looking for help. The idea is to take care of the home maintenance needs of an average metro-dwelling working population.Timesaverz

It helps customers save time by helping them find people willing to do jobs like grocery shopping, plumbing, maintaining the computer, paying utility bills, filling up forms and delivering stuff from one place to another.

“We are a one stop destination for most of your needs, be it, daily chores, shopping, household maintenance,” says Debadutta Upadhyaya – Co-Founder & CEO of Right Angle Web, the startup behind Timesaverz.com. The company also offers a Timesaverz Maintenance Contract for home maintenance services. It also sells household items on the site.

Busy Mumbaikars already have the culture of outsourcing small jobs. Only, it hasn’t been tied closely to the online world. If the, six month old startup succeeds in making money, they will prove the old adage right– Time is money, indeed.

We did a quick Q&A with Debadutta Upadhyaya to find out what the company’s future plans are. Edited Excerpts:

Do you  conduct background checks of the people who apply to do tasks on your site?

Yes, extensively for both skill set and background checks. Secondly we also conduct a detailed skill set analysis of the applicants to ensure that they comply with the requirements for the tasks they have applied for. Vocational training certificates are also looked into.

What has been the traction like? How many paying customers do you have?

In the 3 months that we have been in operation, we have close to 250 customers. And this number is steadily growing as we speak.

What are your future plans?

Immediate priority is to expand at-home services bouquet. We have started with the low-hanging needs and are adding agents by the day to move up the value chain by introducing services around the care segment.

When will you launch in new cities?

We would first like to solidify our hold in Mumbai and then branch out to other metros in the near future.

Chachii.com is another site on the same lines. How do you differentiate?

We are a one stop destination for various home-maintenance activities that rewards users for outsourcing jobs to us through our earn minutes programme. For every job outsourced to us, the users earn points equivalent to the minutes that they have saved which can be redeemed later for fun activities bringing the whole chain of saving time to a complete circle.

Why add a shopping element to the site?

We interviewed quite a number of working professionals with nuclear families, young working couple, working couple with old parents at home and realized that the average time spent by them over weekends trying to attend to mundane shopping chores is on an average 4-6 hours that leaves them very little time to relax and rejuvenate before the new week sets in and each of them loved the idea of a certified help that they can rely on to free up their time from regular household chores. Grocery shopping and pick-up happened to be one of the top 3 jobs in this segment. Hence we introduced it as it goes with our motto of helping people save time!
