Apart from Sony which announced the Xperia Z at Rs 38,900, couple of other smaller launches happened today. Zync and Swipe Telecom unveiled new tablets for the Indian market. Here’s what you need to know.

Zync Announces 3 Tablets Priced Under Rs 14K

Zync has introduced three tablets for the Indian market – the Dual 7, Quad 8 and Quad 9.7. All three tablets run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The Dual 7 is a 7-inch WVGA tablet with a 800 x 480 screen resolution. It comes with 1 GB of Ram and 8 GB of storage. It also features a 3000 mAh LI-PO battery, WiFi, external storage support and a 0.3-megapiXel front and 2.0-megapixel back camera.

The Quad 8 and Quad 9.7 have similar specifications, apart from their screen and battery. The Quad 9.7 comes with a 9.7-inch LED-backlit Super HD IPS Display and a massive 8000mAh battery. The Quad 8 offers an 8-inch 1024×768 screen resolution and runs on a 5,400mAh battery. Both the tablets are powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 5-megapixel back camera and a 2-megapixel front camera, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board memory that can further be expanded by up to 32GB.

The Dual 7, Quad 8 and the Zync Quad 9.7 have been priced at Rs 5,990, Rs 12,990 and Rs 13,990 respectively making them the cheapest multi-core tablets presently available in India.

Swipe Telecom Launches Dual-SIM Tablet

Swipe Telecom announced the Swipe Halo Value which has a 7-inch screen and 0.3-megapixel front and 2.0-megapixel back camera. It runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.1. The tablet has a 7-inch TFT LCD capacitive touch screen with 5-point multi-touch support and a resolution support of 800 x 480 pixels. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz Processor and 512 MB of RAM. The tablet weighs 313 grams. It comes with 4 GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 32 GB.  The Swipe Halo Value comes with a 3,400 mAh battery. The tablet is priced at Rs 6,990.
