Startup mYwindow Pivots; Launches App That Makes Selling Digital Goods Easy

The folks at mYwindow, a startup that wanted to be a place where you could follow all your interests, are pivoting to launch a new mobile app that makes it easier for users to sell digital goods.

The company wants individuals, artists & other companies to use the new app. It is looking to partner with about 50 sellers by end of February.

You can sign up with your e-mail or Facebook login. After signup, one can start selling products like a design, music, e-book or even a film. It also lets you sell tickets to events. An option to sell physical goods like paintings and T-shirts might also be added soon.MyWindow

Selling a product is easy. You pick the type of product you want to sell, give it a title, add price and a cover photo and add the file you want to sell from your Dropbox account. It generates a link which you can circulate in your network for prospective buyers to click and buy.

In a quick Q&A, Veer Mishra, the founder of mYwindow told NextBigWhat that the team realized that it could do better if it focussed on just one thing. Users were getting confused with the earlier version and we were just getting a stale pile of new users who were doing nothing, Veer Mishra said.

After talking to a few active users and advisors, the company decided to create the mYwindow app which will make it easy for people to sell stuff with an instant message on the mobile.

After the sale, the startup deposits the money directly in users bank account.

But there are other products like Gumroad and Instamojo that do pretty much the same thing. However, mYwindow has taken a mobile first approach to the solution. “Our pricing is lowest & at the same time, we believe our analytic page is killer,” says Mishra. On Gumroad, your payout options are limited to PayPal.
