Mobikon secures USD 1.7 Million Series A funding

Digital marketing and customer engagement player for the hospitality and retail industry, Mobikon Asia Pte Ltd, the cross-border Singapore-India start-up, has raised Series A funding worth $1.7million from Singapore-based Jungle Ventures. Super angel investors including Ravi Mantha, a member of the Board of Trustees at The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), and others also played an active role in the funding. image

With this the company aims to become a Pan Asian player in cloud based digital marketing and customer engagement platforms. Speaking to Pluggd, Samir Khadepaun, Founder and CEO, Mobikon Asia said, “These funds will be used to increase sales and business development activities in geographies of India, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Australia. Also with the funds we are expanding the team headcount from 30 to 50 till the end of this year. The hiring’s will mostly happen in India, Singapore, Australia and Thailand since we are opening up new offices there.”

Post this investment Anurag Srivastav, MD, Jungle Ventures will join the Mobikon board and will help expand scale operations and key partnerships.

Mobikon’s products under its brand ‘Konekt’ helps several Hotels, Restaurants and Spa’s in India, South East Asia, Africa and Australia connect and engage with their customers, resulting in accelerated direct revenues and increased customer retention and satisfaction.

The company is all set to launch their new product ‘Konekt Concierge’ next week that will be primarily focused on the restaurant industry allowing them to increase real-time customer engagement. It will also allow customers to make online bookings, review menu and give feedback instantly.
