The company’s product, KartRocket, is a DIY platform which can be used by sellers to start an online store. The platform comes bundled with international payment options, cash on delivery and a shipping platform.
KartRocket has over 100 apps that help sellers integrate with various platforms. For instance, using the Amazon app on the platform, a seller can list products on Amazon India. Pretty amazing! It integrates to everything right from Twitter, to Facebook store to payment gateways such as PayU & Citruspay.
The startup, which launched KartRocket in beta in January, did not disclose the exact amount of investment. It has acquired over 100 paying customers and more than 500 trial customers.
KartRocket’s shipping platform has tie-ups with logistics carriers. Prices for the service start from Rs 500 per month to Rs 7000 per month. The company was founded by Saahil Goel, Gautam Kapoor and Vishesh Khurana.
Currently, DIY e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Zepo and BuildaBazaar are popular in India (read our comparison between Shopify, Zepo and BuildaBazaar). In comparison, KartRocket is quite tuned to the needs of Indian sellers with plug and play support for logistics, payments, search and social integration.
