Bangalore based serial entrepreneurs K Ganesh and his wife Meena Ganesh have bought Portea Medical, a company which provides in-home healthcare services, according to a new report.
The founders will continue to remain at the company which was bought in a cash and equity deal, The Times of India reported. The company, founded by Zachary Jones, the former head of research at Copal Partners and is in the process of raising $10 mn in venture capital funding, said the report.
K Ganesh and Meena Ganesh have have had a series of successful including the sale of TutorVista to Pearson for over $200 mn. In February, they sold rest of their stake in the online tutoring company to UK publishing house Pearsons, which is making a major push in the Indian education market.
The duo, also run a startup accelerator cum angel investment fund called Growthstory which ahs invested and mentored a bunch of startups including Must See India, Bookadda, Delyver, Bluestone and Bigbasket, which raised $10 mn from Ascent Capital in March last year. Recently, they invested in OnlinePrasad, an online venture which connects people to spiritual places.
