Huawei Telecommunications has entered into partnership with Digilife Distribution and Marketing Services (DDMS), a 100% subsidiary of HCL Infosystems for the distribution of Huawei’s entire product range and solutions across markets of India.
DDMS will distribute Huawei’s product range along with the associated services including enterprise network solutions, infrastructure, security, storage, data storage services, smart phones, tablets etc. The distribution tie-up will establish Huawei get reach beyond tier-1 cities and propel its focus to target mid-market customers.
Under this deal DDMS and Huawei will collaborate on marketing, sales and technical areas and overall go-to market activities. DDMS will also support in marketing activities for Huawei product range and further help promote, participate and extend the sale of the Huawei products through activities such as market research, advertising, trade shows, internet marketing etc.
In 2012, Huawei launched its 4G phone, Ascend in partnership with Airtel and several other Chinese manufacturers are eyeing the Indian market (read: Chinese manufacturers take the battle to India, Konka to invest $30 million to sell smartphones).
Apple too has beefed up its distribution and partnered with Redington Inagram Micro.
