Internet commerce is in a state of clutter and lies an opportunity to create a useful interface of the same.
Flipick has brought an interesting twist to Amazon – they have turned Amazon into a giant magazine, which one can flip through (and buy items)
You can also create your own flip and publish that. While browsing through any ‘flip’, you can add the item to your shopping cart.
The interface is neatly done – is probably an inspiration to several other web products on keeping things simple as well as sexy (though from a usability perspective, they need to really improve the landing page); the biggest challenge I see is on utility of this service.
What’s the target market they are addressing? Is it Amazon-only service or there are plans to grow into something more?

What’s your take on Flipick ?

I like it. If it was available as a widget to put on the blog or personal e-commerce site, would definitely be useful.
looks great. is this done by an indian company or by amazon.com? the kids theme is amazing
Very innovative concept, but what’s their business/revenue model (is there any at all)? They could probably integrate affiliate id within the generated basket (products) to capitalize on commissions from Amazon.
Developing a facebook application can be a useful stuff – Add application to profile page, add products you always wanted to buy.. friends browse the pages and probably gift you one? They could make this idea into a instant gift messaging on social networks which could be of a greater value.
We used issuu.com for publishing our survey report as a flip through doc. you can check it over here.

Unless this post is only about Indian companies, issuu.com provides a great alternative !
