BSNL and Hungama have announced an on-demand entertainment store (link) that offers popular music, videos and games with a catalogue of over 50,000 songs and 1000 videos across various genres including Bollywood, Devotional, Regional Language content and more.
One can download unlimited songs at a subscription fee of Rs. 149/ – the offer ofcourse mandates BSNL user id/password.
This is a significant move given the fact that Nokia is working on ovi (for the last 1.5 years!) and is likely to announce the launch with a free one-year subscription on purchase of select Nokia handsets (will start with mobisodes, in partnership with Hungama)- so Nokia will head-on compete with operator’s service.
Aside, B K Modi led Spice Televentures has launched Mobile Movie card that enables mobile phone users to watch latest Bollywood flicks on their mobile.
