Noida Based Appy Pie Raises $10,000 on Kickstarter for DIY Mobile Game Builder
Appy Pie’s cloud based platform started the Kickstarter campaign in August to develop a platform that lets users create games on the fly.
Cloud based app builder Appy Pie has raised $10,000 on Kickstarter to build its “Mobile Game Builder,” which makes making mobile game easy for people who don’t know how to code.
The DIY app building company, was on Kickstarter to raise money for a game builder that will allow users with no programming skills to create HTML5 mobile games.
Appy Pie is a venture by Noida based new media company ONSInteractive.
The cloud based platform started the campaign in August. The game development platform lets you select a game type, enter information such as name, logo and description and customize settings like the main characters, enemies and weapons.
Users can create games and monetize them using iAds and AdMobi advertisements and in app purchases. Abhinav Giridhar of Appy Pie says that game makers can also make changes to the game and it will reflect on the app in near real time. “We have already raised some money from our existing businesses to create a prototype,” he said in the Kickstarter video.
“3 of the 8 backers are agencies who we have agreed on making our white label reseller so they have paid like 2500+ each and the remainder has been paid by others,” said Girdhar.
