Google will spend $1Bn to promote Android One in India

This not just includes subsidizing the phones for manufacturers, but also the marketing promotions. The Android One smartphones will be launched in partnership with Micromax, Celkon, Karbonn and Spice [via].

Google has always wanted to get people to have the pure Android experience at very reasonable prices — which is the point of existence of Nexus devices!

Amazon India launches Gift Cards in 9 Indian languages

Customers can add customized messages for recipients as well as send the same Amazon.in Gift Card to multiple recipients as part of a single order and can buy a total of 25 Gift Cards in up to 15 variants at one go. Customers can use their Credit / Debit cards and Netbanking to buy the Amazon.in Gift Cards. The COD payment method is not applicable for buying theAmazon.in Gift Cards.

Recipients can view the balance amount, expiry dates and the transaction history for all their Amazon.in Gift Cards, all at one place. The Amazon.in Gift Cards can be used as a payment mode in conjunction with Credit / Debit cards and net banking as well.

Each Amazon.in Gift Card is valid for a period of 12 months and can be used by the recipients to shop products across all categories available on Amazon.in except ebooks and apps, within that  time.

The Amazon Gift Cards  will be issued by QwikCilver Solutions.

Bangalore Traffic gets a Wall

Delta video wall solutions company has partnered  with Pan Intellecom Ltd. to install its 24/7 seamless Video Wall at the Bangalore Traffic Management Center at Traffic Police Head Quarters to monitor city traffic.

The 83’ x 11’ Delta Video wall will help Bangalore traffic police to manage and respond to traffic woes promptly and investigate incidents causing accidents and damages incurred.
