Apparently somebody has claimed the yahoo.com listing on Alexa and added a little sales stuff about themselves. Alexa says the number one website on earth is Google [still is], second is Facebook, third is YouTube and fourth is … Ta Da: AnshikaPackersMovers.com!

Ranks are relative dude
so if ur traffic remains constant and others traffic increase ur rank will obviously drop
@saurabh ‘rank on alexa’ is not the same as ‘visitors per month’. While your visitors might be stable @500 per month the rank can vary significantly because other websites have a roll to play there. Rank is relative, visitors are absolute.
For example during ‘Mumbai terror attacks’ all Indian media websites gained Alexa rank. Because more people visited news websites over here at that time. That means Alexa ranking of other news websites for e.g in UK/US etc. fell down even though they had the same number of visitors coming in daily.
So now i understood believing in alexa ranking is like believing in your daily horoscope that comes in news paper
